In the second half of 2023, Google may launch its new premium flagship smartphone with the Pixel 8 series. Google has been showcasing its next-generation flagship phones every year at Google I/O. The company could follow the trend and tease the Pixel 8 series this year.
According to the leaked renders, the Google Pixel 8 will get some design improvements over the outgoing Pixel 7 5G. Compared to the Pixel 7 series, the design changes are quite noticeable despite being subtle.

Tipster OnLeaks has shared design renders of the upcoming Pixel flagship smartphone, which reveal it will feature a dual-camera setup. There’s no telephoto camera sensor on the Pixel 8; it might be reserved for the Pixel 8 Pro. On the protruding visor, there is an LED flash outside the oval-shaped camera module.
The corners of the phone are much more rounded. The Pixel 8’s design is different from the Pixel 7’s boxy appearance. The Pixel 8 also features a smaller display due to the design change. According to OnLeaks, the Pixel 8 will have a 5.8-inch display. There will be a hole-punch cutout at the top center of the flat screen.
It is also smaller than its predecessor, according to OnLeaks. In terms of dimensions, the phone will be roughly 150.5 x 70.8 x 8.9mm. A thick camera visor enlarges the Pixel 8 to 12mm.
On the right edge of the frame are the power and volume buttons. There are also antenna lines on the frame, suggesting that the phone will have a metal chassis. The USB Type-C port and microphone are cutouts at the bottom edge of the device.
