A Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset-powered iQOO Neo 7 was launched in China in October 2022. Therefore, iQOO Neo 8 will likely be announced in the second half of this year. Tipster Digital Chat Station (via. TechGoing) has leaked the key specifications of the device well in advance of its launch.

DCS says the Dimensity 9200 Plus will power the iQOO Neo 8. Apparently, the D9200+ will be an enhanced version of the D9200. This SoC is expected to compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi are also rumored to be planning to launch smartphones with Dimensity 9200 Plus chipsets, in addition to iQOO.

It is also reported that the iQOO Neo 8 will have 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. In the third quarter of 2023, the Redmi K60 Ultra is expected to launch alongside the Neo 8.

According to a similar source last week, the Redmi K60 Ultra will sport an OLED screen with 1.5K resolution and fast refresh rates. Dimensity 9200 chipset and 100W charging are included.

The iQOO Neo 7, Neo 7 Racing Edition, and Neo 7 SE were launched in China in Q4 2022. They are powered by Dimensity 9000 Plus, Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, and Dimensity 8200 chipsets, respectively. The iQOO Neo 7 is a rebranded version of the Neo 7 SE available in India. Therefore, it appears that the Neo 8 series may include other models, such as the iQOO Neo 8 Racing Edition and the Neo 8 SE.
