Oppo’s first tablet, the Pad, was introduced early last year, followed by the Pad Air, which is more affordable. There have already been several leaks of the Oppo Pad 2, including a test result left on Geekbench.
In the past, there has been talking of a Dimensity-powered slate, but that isn’t the case here – the Oppo Tab 2 (aka OPD2201) has a Snapdragon chipset. This appears to be the Snapdragon 888 based on its clock speeds: 2.84GHz prime core, 2.42GHz mid-cores, and 1.8GHz little cores. The original Pad was powered by Snapdragon 870 whereas the Pad Air was by Snapdragon 680.
Both Geekbench 5 and Geekbench 6 were run on the slate. There was 8GB of RAM and Android 13 running on it.
According to a 3C certification, the new slate supports 67W fast charging, twice as fast as the original. Rumors suggest that it will have a battery capacity of 9,500mAh. Bluetooth SIG has also certified v5.3 support.
The tablet is expected to come with an 11.6″ 144Hz LCD with a resolution of 2,800 x 2,000 pixels, according to unconfirmed data. It also claimed a Dimensity 9000 chipset, so it may be unreliable.
Whether or not Oppo Pad 2 will debut alongside the upcoming Find X6 series remains to be seen.
