Realme’s GT series appears to be expanding. After releasing the GT Neo 5 in China and the Realme GT3 internationally, the company is reportedly planning a cut-down Lite version. It is not the first time we hear about the unannounced handset. Instead, it stopped by TENAA to show off its overall design.
The Realme GT Neo 5 Lite ditches the fancy transparent window and RGB lighting from the regular GT Neo 5 model for a simpler camera island and back panel. Despite this, the design is still quite similar.
According to rumors, the Lite variant will either run Qualcomm’s SM7475, also known as the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset, or the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1. It is expected that the GT Neo 5 Lite will feature a 64MP main camera with the still unannounced Omnivision OV64M sensor instead of the 50MP camera of its bigger brother. Sources also claim the phone will have an 8MP camera, likely an ultrawide plus a third low-res camera. The front has a 16MP selfie camera.
With a 6.74-inch, 144Hz AMOLED display and 1.5K resolution, the GT Neo 5 Lite is equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The GT Neo 5 has a reputation for its fast charging. A 150W-capable version of the phone exists, as does one with 240W. The GT Neo 5 Lite appears to go for 100W charging on a 5,500mAh battery.
