The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra may look no different from the 2022 model just by looking at it. Aside from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and the new 200MP camera, the new flagship has several major improvements under the hood.

The leakster Ice Universe says “focus is no longer a problem”. Samsung’s first 108MP phone, the Galaxy S20 Ultra, had some focusing issues at launch. Software updates corrected those issues and subsequent models’ cameras were tweaked for better performance.

With the Ultra jumping to a new generation of sensors, there shouldn’t be a repeat of the S20 Ultra issues. According to the leaks, the camera’s image stabilization system has also been improved.

For the 2023 release, Samsung allegedly addressed this issue – bass in particular was improved, writes Ice. Furthermore, the new Ultra phone will feature a very capable microphone set.

Samsung is offering discounts to those who book a Galaxy S23 phone three weeks before launch day. While improvements to the camera focus and loudspeaker performance may not entice buyers, they could make owners happy in the long run.
