OnePlus initially launched only flagship phones, but soon expanded to mid-range devices to appeal to a broader audience. Nord’s latest entry might be on the way.

An upcoming successor to the Nord 2 is in the works, according to a new report. It seems that the new mid-range smartphone is currently undergoing testing in India under the codename Larry, which means that it will be mass-produced shortly, followed by its launch. Since the older models were released around the same time last year, the brand might announce the Nord 3 model sometime in July 2023.

We still do not know the finer details about this handset. Although we can expect it to offer a number of improvements over its predecessor. With the successor, we can expect a newer generation MediaTek chipset as well as some improvements in the camera department. The Nord series is also likely to receive only an incremental upgrade and an overhauled design.
