The OnePlus 11 was not the only new hardware announced at the OnePlus’ event in China earlier today. The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 wireless earbuds feature improved noise canceling, Dolby Atmos spatial audio, and Dynaudio sound tuning.

A two-tone finish on the buds and a matte charging case distinguish the Buds Pro 2 from last year’s Buds Pro. It is the same 11mm dynamic driver and 6mm planar diaphragm driver used in the earbuds. With Bluetooth 5.3 support and ANC, these earphones should drown out up to 48 dB of outside noise. For optimal voice pickup and noise cancellation, each earbud has three microphones.

With a future software update, Buds Pro 2 will support the LHDC 5.0 audio codec for high-res audio streaming over Bluetooth. They currently support AAC, SBC, and LC3 audio codecs at launch. There are some neat features for ColorOS 11 devices like posture monitoring and cervical spine pressure monitoring, as well as a 54 ms low latency gaming mode. The new Oppo and OnePlus devices will also support dual connections and easy switching between them.

With their charging case off, OnePlus claims the Buds Pro 2 can last up to 39 hours. Charging can be done wirelessly or wired via a USB-C charger.

It retails in China for 899 Yuan (Rs.10,900/-) and comes in black and green. International pricing and availability details will be revealed on February 7, while open sales commence on January 9.
