CES 2023 marks Acer’s debut of the new Swift lineup, including two OLED-enabled models: The Swift Go 14 and Swift Go 16. Acer Swift X 14 and Swift 14 have also been refreshed.
Acer Swift Go:
There are two models in the new Swift family, the Swift Go 14 and Swift Go 16. In the top-tier configuration, both of these laptops feature a stunning OLED panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The Swift Go 16’s panel is the better of the two, with a 16-inch screen with 3.2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. As for the Acer Swift Go 14, it has a 2.8K panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, which will still give you a great viewing experience.
The laptops offer top-notch performance and a battery life of over 9.5 hours powered by Intel’s 13th-generation processors available in both U-series and H-series models. They also support Intel Unison, allowing you to connect your smartphone easily to your PC via the new Intel Movidius VPU with a dedicated AI engine. A TwinAir cooling system keeps both laptops cool. Both laptops come with up to 16GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD.
Acer’s PurifiedView video features, enabled by the 1440p webcams above the display, are also noteworthy. Among the features available on these cameras are background blur, auto framing, and eye contact.
With a thickness of just 14.9mm and a weight of 1.3kg for the 14-inch model and 1.6kg for the 16-inch one, the Acer Swift Go laptops are also reasonably thin and light. Along with USB Type-A, they include Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and a microSD card reader.
Swift Go 14 will launch in Europe first for €999, and in North America for $849.99 in May. In Europe, the Swift Go 16 will launch in March with a starting price of €1,099, and in North America in June with a starting price of $799.99.
Acer Swift X 14:
This new laptop from Acer comes with a 13th-generation Intel Core H-series processor, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, which delivers more graphics power for creative workloads. The included Nvidia Studio drivers are expected to help with this. A 1TB SSD and 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM are also included.
The Acer Swift X 14 also has an OLED display, this time a 2.8K (2880 x 1800) display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Despite its base model’s WQXGA IPS panel, this is still a quite good display. The display is topped with a 1080p webcam with temporal noise reduction and Acer PurifiedView support.
Acer Swift X 14 will be available in April starting at $1,099 in North America and €1,499 in Europe.
Acer Swift 14:
The Acer Swift 14 completes the new Swift line-up, which shares some design elements with the 2022 Acer Swift 5, including its dual-tone look, although it comes in Mist Green or Steam Blue.
Acer Swift 14 also offers 13th-generation Intel Core processors, up to a Core i7-13700H, and up to 32GB of RAM. It has a 14-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2560 x 1600. This one does not have an OLED option, but it does support touch. During calls and meetings, you’ll get great video quality thanks to the 1440p webcam with temporal noise reduction
Additionally, this one comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1 support, and USB Type-A ports.
Acer Swift 14 will be available in January in EMEA regions starting at €1,699, and in March in North America starting at $1,399.99.
