The Pixel Fold is rumored to be Google’s own foldable smartphone. It appears that this device might bravely compete with Samsung’s foldable phones, according to a new leak.
Samsung’s supply chain sources claimed that the Pixel Fold would enter mass production during the July to September quarter, which is the third quarter of this year. According to the Samsung Display source, the company has received orders for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Google Pixel Fold. In July or August, the Pixel Fold is expected to go on sale with a tall 7.57-inch OLED primary display and a smaller 5.6-inch cover screen.
In other words, the Pixel Fold might be released at the same time as the Galaxy Z Fold 5. According to a recent report, the South Korean company is the world’s largest maker of foldable phones. In other words, Google might have to deal with the release of a major foldable phone simultaneously with its own release timeline. This launch window may also affect Pixel Fold’s sales.
While finer details regarding this Pixel Fold are still unclear, it is likely to run on Android 14L out of the box. It is mainly intended for larger screens and tablets and emphasizes multitasking. Stay tuned for more updates, as we will provide more details as they become available.
