Redmi, Xiaomi’s sub-brand, has introduced an incredibly affordable smartphone. This device is called the Redmi 12C, and it follows the brand’s budget formula of offering good specs at a low price. There’s a 6.71-inch display, a 5000mAh battery, and a capable MediaTek Helio G85 SoC under the hood of the handset.

This year’s Redmi 12C smartphone looks a bit like the Redmi A1 series phones. There are two cameras, an LED flash, and a fingerprint sensor on the squircle camera island. It has a curved back with a textured design. There’s a flat display with thin bezels and a V-shaped notch on the front.

Specs:

The new Redmi 12C will sport 6.71 inches HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, & a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB/128GB eMMC 5.1 storage.

 

It features a 50MP main rear camera with LED flash along with a 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. The device comes with a 5MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. It packs a 5000 mAh battery with 10W charging support.

The connectivity options include Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wifi, micro USB port, FM Radio, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It runs on Android 12 OS without any custom skin on top. The device measures 8.7 mm thick and weighs 192g.

The new Redmi 12C will cost 699 Yuan(Rs.8499/-) for 4GB+64GB, 799 Yuan (Rs.9600/-) for 4GB+128GB. The top-end 6GB+128GB at 899 Yuan (Rs.10,900/-) in China.
