By the end of this month or in December, Xiaomi is expected to announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Xiaomi 13 series. There are also rumors that its sub-brand, Redmi, is developing a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone tentatively dubbed the Redmi K60 Gaming. Besides the Redmi K60 and K60 Pro, the K60 series is expected to include other models. Digital Chat Station appears to have shared vital details about the vanilla Redmi K60.

Digital Chat Station reports that the Redmi K60 will be powered by a Dimensity 8200 chip. A new midrange chip, the Dimensity 8200, is expected to launch on Nov. 8 with the flagship Dimensity 9200.

It appears that the Dimensity 8200-powered device will feature a flat display with punch holes. In addition to the 48MP camera, the phone will also have an optical image stabilization sensor, but we have no idea which sensor it will be.

It’s the second time we’re hearing details about the new Mediatek chipset following the Dimensity 8100. This same source claimed yesterday that the Vivo iOQO Neo7 SE would be powered by a 3.1 GHz Cortex-X2 chip – the same as the current flagship Dimensity 9000.

It will also come with a QHD+ screen, a 5,500 mAh battery and 30W wireless charging and 67W wired charging. On Weibo, Xiaomi’s sub-brands boss suggested a Dynamic Island-like solution, suggesting Xiaomi could adopt Apple’s user interface.
