Earlier this month, Apple unveiled the iPhone 14 Pro model. This is the result of combining a smaller pill-shaped cutout with a hole-punch cutout on the new Pro iPhones. Dynamic Island is Apple’s software feature that hides the wide cutout. It expands or contracts depending on the background notification or task. It is attracting a lot of discussion on social media sites.

Although manufacturers plan to bring Dynamic Island to Android smartphones, a new app on the Google Play Store gives users a taste of the feature. Android smartphone users can experience some Dynamic Island features through the dynamicSpot app. Despite not unlocking all features, the app is more or less similar to the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.

DynamicSpot mimics the Dynamic Island feature of Apple’s flagship iPhone 14 Pro series phones through an Android app. Using the app, you can access recent notifications or phone status changes through Dynamic Island mini multitasking.

The user can tap the black popup to open the displayed app, and long press the popup to view more details. The app also allows you to control music playback.  Users will have to grant permissions to the app in order to access notifications. Data is not collected or shared with third parties by the app developers.

Several features of the app can be customized, such as showing two notifications at once. According to PhoneArena, the app also has some premium features, including dynamicSpot on the lock screen, battery low reminders, etc.
