In April, Vivo launched the Vivo X80 series of smartphones in China. According to reports, the Chinese manufacturer is developing the X90 series for the Chinese market. An anonymous tipster from China has leaked some specifications of the Vivo X90 Pro.
Several upcoming flagship phones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is no surprise since many upcoming smartphones are expected to use it. In November, Qualcomm will hold its Snapdragon Tech Summit, where the SD8G2 is expected to launch.
In addition, the leak states that the Vivo X90 Pro will support 100W fast charging. There is a larger battery inside. The battery capacity on the X80 Pro is 4,700mAh. A battery of around 5,000mAh is likely to power the X90 Pro.
It will have a 1-inch camera sensor for photography. Xiaomi 12S Ultra, which was officially announced in August in China, is the world’s first phone with a 1-inch camera sensor. It has a Sony IMX989 sensor. There is no information on whether the X90 Pro has the same main camera as the X90. A periscope zoom camera is mentioned at the end of the leak for the X90 Pro.
Vivo X90’s launch date has not been announced. In China, the Vivo X80 lineup was launched in Q2 2022. Therefore, it is likely that the X90 lineup will launch around the same time next year. Xiaomi’s 13 series and OnePlus’ 11 Pro 5G are expected to debut earlier than previous flagships. The Vivo X90 line could be released as early as 2023.
