Later this week, Apple will unveil its new iPhone 14 series. The company will, however, also unveil its second generation of AirPods Pro earbuds alongside the new smartphone lineup.
Bloomberg writer Mark Gurman shares the news in his Power On newsletter. There will be four new iPhone models launched on September 7 by the Cupertino-based giant. Additionally, Apple is expected to announce the 10th generation iPad, iPad Pro 2022, and Apple Watch Series 8. It appears that the company is also planning to launch AirPods Pro 2.
According to rumors, the AirPods Pro 2 will include Active Noise Cancellation similar to its predecessor, as well as a Transparency Mode. In addition, it’s rumored that AirPods Pro’s second generation will feature a significantly longer battery life. With the charging case, the original AirPods pro offered over 24 hours of audio playback and 18 hours of talk time.
The AirPods Pro 2 is also rumored to lose its iconic stem design. The Active Noise Cancellation feature is typically housed in the stem of Apple’s headphones. There may, however, be a smaller charging case that will emit sound if it is lost when the owner uses the Find My application.
