A leaked image in mid-August purported to show Xiaomi’s camera island on the upcoming 12T Pro. The design of the island and the presence of the 200 MP camera are confirmed in a new leaked image showing the Xiaomi 12T Pro alongside the Redmi Pad.
Twitter’s most prolific tipster mentions the 12T Pro with the unannounced Redmi Pad, which only has an 8MP camera. Both are very different devices, one in the “T” line of ‘affordable flagships’ or ‘flagship killers’ if you like, the other clearly meant as a budget entry-level tablet.
Even though they differ, both are expected to be unveiled soon. According to rumours, the Xiaomi 12T Pro will be a rebranded Redmi K50 Ultra, which launched last month for the Chinese market with only that main camera upgraded.
Depending on how things turn out, the 12T Pro will have a 6.67-inch 1220×2712 144 Hz OLED touchscreen, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset, 8/12GB of RAM, 128/256/512GB of storage, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera, a 20MP selfie snapper, and a 5000mAh battery that will charge at 120W fast.
