Sony is about to launch its next compact flagship later today with the new Sony XPERIA 5 IV. Previously we saw the alleged Sony XPERIA 5 IV passing through various listings revealing some of the details of the device. Now hours ahead of the launch we now got the press renders showing the new Sony XPERIA 5 IV in full glory.

The new Xperia 5 IV reminds us of the Xperia 1 IV as it looks similar to it. It features triple rear cameras with a ToF sensor aligned vertically and the arrangement is similar to Xperia Pro. It comes with premium metal chassis with a glossy glass back. The Sony Xperia 5 IV will also feature a microSD card slot along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It measures 8.2 mm thick and weighs 187g.

The Sony Xperia 5 IV will sport 6.1 inches probably FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will come with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both fronts as well as the back of the device.
The surprise element is the chipset powering the Sony Xperia 5 IV will now be the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC. The latest chipset is manufactured by TSMC 4nm process. Its coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage space.

The device features a 12MP main Exmor RF sensor with an aperture of f/1.7, a Hybrid OIS/EIS with Carl Zeiss lens, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and 124-degrees FOV. Lastly, 12MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, 3X optical zoom, OIS/EIS and LED flash. The device weighs over 180g and might launch soon.
