Vivo has quietly unveiled two new Y-series smartphones with Vivo Y22s and Vivo Y02s. Bot the devices might soon launch in India next.
Vivo Y22s:
With 720 x 1612 pixels of resolution, the Vivo Y22s sports a 6.55-inch LCD panel. The display features a 20.1:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, 530 nits brightness, and 70 percent NTSC colour gamut. There is an 89.67 percent screen-to-body ratio on the Y22s.
The Vivo Y22s is powered by the Snapdragon 680 chipset and 8 GB of RAM. Besides 128 GB of internal storage, there is a dedicated microSD card slot as well. The FunTouchOS 12 is preloaded on the device, which is a customized version of Android 12. It has a fingerprint scanner integrated into its power button on the right edge.
A front-facing camera with 8 megapixels is available on the Y22s. On its back panel is a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture as well as a 2-megapixel macro camera. There is a 5,000mAh battery in the device, which can be charged at a rate of 18W. In addition to dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a USB-C port, the Y22s has a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB-C port for power. This device measures 164.3 x 76.1 x 8.38mm and weighs 192 grams.

In Vietnam, the Vivo Y22s cost VND 5,990,000 (Rs.20,500/-). It is available in shades such as Dark Blue and Yellow Green.
Vivo Y02s:
Vivo Y02s comes with a 6.51-inch waterdrop notch display with HD+ resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. The power button is equipped with a fingerprint sensor. It measures 8.19mm thick and weighs around 182 grams. With a right-angle frame design, it features a glass-like rear panel that is scratch- and fingerprint-resistant.
Unlike most other smartphones, Vivo Y02s comes with just one 8-megapixel camera at the back. LED flash is housed in one of the two bumps on the module. A 5-megapixel selfie camera is located on the front of the smartphone.
It features a MediaTek Helio P35 processor along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. In case you need more storage, there is a microSD card slot. A 5,000mAh battery backs the device, which supports 10W charging over USB-C. The device supports 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Funtouch OS runs on top of Android 12 OS.
Pricing:
This Vivo Y02s model has a price of 906 Yuan (Rs. 10,622). Sapphire Blue and Shine Black are the two colour options available. Currently, the device is available in Taiwan. It is unclear whether it will be available internationally.
