The Xiaomi 12T series has not yet been released in the global market, and rumours about the Xiaomi 13 series have already been circulating. Earlier reports suggested the upcoming series would feature a single-cell 100W battery, In-House Charging Chip, and 50W Wireless Charging. New leaks reveal some interesting details about the design and display of the Xiaomi 13 series.
Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the vanilla Xiaomi 13 will have a 1080P straight screen, while the Xiaomi 13 Pro may have a curved screen with 2K resolution, and be made of LTPO and E6 materials. There is a centre-punched hole for the camera on both devices.
In addition, the tipster revealed that Xiaomi is using a new packaging process to keep the bezels narrow. A part of the screen is bent to reduce the bezels as part of the COP packaging process. Civi 1S, Xiaomi’s previous smartphone, used this process.
Xiaomi 13 series phones are rumoured to have a single-cell battery and support wireless charging up to 50W. Additionally, it is said to use the company’s Surge P1 chip for better power management.
It has been reported that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor will power this upcoming series. The MediaTek Dimensity variants from this year will likely not be available next year either. Xiaomi’s 13 series is expected to have a 2K screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
