As reported by leakster Ahmed Qwaider, Samsung will upgrade the cover display and rear panel of the Galaxy Z Fold4 to Gorilla Glass Victus+. The Z Fold3 used Victus. A “Super UTG” material was rumored to be used for the larger inner display. The new hinge design should at least reduce the crease.

Additional information was provided by Qwaider. Although the new Z Fold4 will retain 25W charging and the battery capacity will remain at 4,270mAh, Samsung will tweak the charging curve to speed things up. The battery of 2021 foldable lasted only 33% after half an hour of charging. In the same period, the Z Fold4 is alleged to go up to 50%.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4’s camera will be greatly improved. According to rumors, the main camera will be upgraded to 50MP (from 12MP). The telephoto lens will be upgraded to 3x (from 2x). No upgrades are likely to be made to the 16MP camera on the cover display and the 4MP camera under the display.

To return to the display, the Z Fold4 will have slimmer bezels and a more compact aspect ratio. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 will power the phone (as will the Z Flip4). There is no indication of a price increase for the Fold compared to its predecessor last year. Next week, the official announcement will take place.
