The Honor brand has officially announced its exit from the Indian market. According to Zhao Ming, the CEO of the company, the company is withdrawing from the region.
According to ITHome, the Chinese brand has been operating in the country for years and has some partners, and has even opened related businesses there. However, Honor said the company still plans to adopt a very safe way of conducting business in the Indian market, despite its profitability. Since 29 March 2021, when Holi, the major Indian festival, was celebrated, the brand hasn’t tweeted since then.
Laptops, smartwatches, smartphones, and more were some of the new products launched by the company at the time. Furthermore, this news coincides with the brand taking a more cautious stance on its business. In spite of a declining market, Zhao Ming said the company still intends to fulfill its promises to customers. Additionally, he said the brand does not plan to build cars for the next few years either.
