Xiaomi has now announced that they have joined hands with Leica for its upcoming flagship. In the past, Leica had partnered with Huawei which was later ended last year. Now Leica and Xiaomi have started a new partnership to use their camera tech on the upcoming smartphones.

Yes, Xiaomi officially revealed that Leica will support them for the future camera-centric flagships. From the leaks we expect the first smartphone to ship with Leica camera tech will be the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. More details about the next smartphone will be out in the coming weeks.

The new Xiaomi 12 Ultra will land in China sometime in July as per leaks.

As per the source, the leaked case of the alleged Xiaomi 12 Ultra comes with camera details marked below the camera cut-out. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra will ditch the secondary screen this year and features a huge circular camera module.

There are almost seven unknown cut-outs on the camera module but four of them will be for the camera remaining three might be for LED flash & Laser AF or 3D camera. The leak further reveals that Xiaomi 12 Ultra will feature a 120x, 12-120mm, f/1.95-4.1 camera the same one found on Xiaomi 11 Ultra.

So we can expect the Xiaomi 12 Ultra to feature a 48MP ultra-wide with a 12mm lens to a 48MP telephoto lens with 120mm. The aperture starts from f/1.95 for the main sensor to f/4.1 for the periscope or telephoto lens. With this, we can conclude that Xiaomi 12 Ultra will retain the same cameras as its predecessor. But the device will come with powerful SD 8 Gen 1+ SoC after all.
