With CES went live today we are getting back to back new announcement from major tech brands.HP today unveiled the Chromebox CPU with HP Chromebox G2 at CES 2018.
HP Chromebox G2 is the successor to 2014 launched HP Chromebox.The new HP Chromebox G2 will be available in a number of different configuration.The HP Chromebox G2 will be powered by Intel Kaby Lake or Intel Kaby Lake refresh generation and comes with various RAM and storage options.
The HP Chromebox G2 will be powered by Intel Celeron 3865U will be coupled with Intel HD Graphics 610, Intel Core i5-7300 or 7th gen Core i5, and 8th Gen Core i7 aka Core i7-8560U processor, both the Core i5 and Core i7 will be coupled with UHD Graphics 620 with integrated GPU.
HP Chromebox G2 comes with 16GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB M.2 SSD storage options.It is made out of plastic and weighs just 670 grams.It will come with 90 Watt or 65-watt external adapter.
The CPU comes with various connectivity options like 3x USB 3.0 port, 2x USB 2.0 port, 3.5 mm audio port, 1x USB type-C port for powering the device, 1x HDMI port and 1x Ethernet port.The HP Chromebox G2 is available only in Black colour and will go on sale starting from April 2018. As of now, there are no details regarding the price.
