Previously we saw a few teasers about Nothing main event scheduled as C the Truth. Now the day is here and Nothing CEO aka Carl Pei has now revealed the key details of his first-ever smartphone aka Nothing Phone (1). In the past, we saw Nothing and Qualcomm joining hands to launch its next device.

At the event, Carl Pei confirmed that Nothing is not just an audio brand but will be an almost equivalent rival to Apple. So probably we might see many Nothing products coming out under various categories later this year. Carl Pei even mentioned “the most compelling alternative to Apple”.

With that, the company revealed that they will soon launch the first smartphone Nothing Phone (1) which runs on custom Nothing OS on top. Nothing promises that Nothing Phone (1) will surely give sleepless nights to many smartphone brands out there as it gets better value with a unique design.

Sadly, the brand didn’t reveal the specs of the new Nothing Phone (1) instead has partnered with Qualcomm & others. Yes, Nothing Phone (1) will use components made by brands like Samsung, Sony, and Visionox. Further, Nothing promises 3 years of major Android OS updates with 4 years of security updates on Nothing Phone (1).

The teaser also gave hint that Nothing Phone (1) might feature a transparent back with notification lights on the back of the device. The device gets custom skin on top of Android with Nothing OS & also announces a Nothing OS launcher for select Android Smartphones. The Nothing OS Launcher will be available later next month through Play Store.

The Nothing OS features dot matrix design with font, icons, and widgets throughout the UI. It also gets dynamic RAM caching that helps to launch the apps faster than expected. The new Nothing Phone (1) will be official by this Summer.
