In the past, we saw POCO launching the new POCO X4 Pro earlier this month along with POCO M4 Pro 4G. Now the brand is looking to expand with some affordable flagships with the POCO F4 series. Yes, POCO will finally launch the next F-series flagship with the POCO F4 series. Ahead of the launch, we have spotted the new POCO F4 passing through the Geekbench listing.
As per the source, the new POCO F4 is listed as Xiaomi 22021211RG which is the model number of the device. The alleged POCO F4 is now powered by the outdated SD870 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM. It is running on Android 12 OS out of the box with MIUI 13 on top.
The device managed to secure 1028 under single & 3391 under multi-core test on Geekbench. Going on with the specs we expect the new POCO F4 to turn out to be the rebranded Redmi K40S. Yes, the Redmi K40S which was launched recently in China will be called POCO F4 for global regions. No word about the Indian launch at the moment.
Redmi K40S:
Redmi K40S 5G comes with an almost similar design as the Redmi K50 series and the only difference is in terms of processor. The new Redmi K40S comes with a 3D curved frosted glass body with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Both devices measure 7.7 mm thick and weigh 195 grams.
The Redmi K40S 5G sport the new AMOLED 6.67 inches FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rates. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top and HDR 10+ support. Redmi K40S 5G is powered by new SD870G SoC with Snapdragon X52 modem for 5G. The Redmi K40S 5G comes with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage version.
The new Redmi K40S 5G features triple-rear cameras with 48MP Sony IMX582 primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.89, OIS support, 8MP 120-degrees Ultra-wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.2, & 2MP macro sensor with an aperture of f/2.4, 1.75μm with LED flash. It comes with 4K video recording at 30fps and 720p at 960fps. The Redmi K40S 5G comes with single selfie cameras with a 20MP sensor.
The new Redmi K40S will feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with an IR blaster. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE, 5G, Wifi 6e, Dual Frequency GPS, GLONASS, NFC, FM Radio, USB Type-C port, & Bluetooth 5.2 support. The Redmi K40S also features a 1217 Linear Speaker along with Smart PA & Dolby Atmos support.
The Redmi K40S 5G packs a 4500 mAh battery with 67W (5G) fast charging support. The new Redmi K40S runs on Android 12 with MIUI 13 on top. The new Redmi K40S 5G will arrive in Black, Silver, Iridescent, and Green colors.
