Honor a sub-brand of Huawei launched the latest mid-tier smartphone with Honor 9i in India. The Honor 9i is none other than the Huawei Nova 2i which was unveiled in China last month.The Honor 9i is priced at Rs.17,999/- in India and will be exclusively available via Flipkart starting from Oct 14.The device will be available in three colour option with Prestige Gold, Aurora Blue and Graphite White. The launch offers include extra Rs.2000/- off on exchange with your old smartphone, 10% cashback if you are having Axis Bank Credit or Debit cards and No cost EMI.
Huawei Honor 9i is having a nearly bezel-less display at the front and is completely made out of metal unibody.It has a similar design as Honor Mate 9 from the rear view.At the front above the display, we have the Dual front-facing camera in between the earpiece.There are thin bezels surrounding the display on all sides.At the back, we have the LED flash with Dual camera setup aligned vertically below the LED flash.There is fingerprint scanner below the camera module.Antenna bands run above camera module and below the Honor Branding.It weighs 164grams and is just 7.5 mm thick.
Huawei Honor 9i sports a 5.9 inches FHD+ FullView display having an aspect ratio of 18:9 similar to LG Q6.The display is covered with 2.5D curved glass on top and has 83% screen to body ratio.There is no mention of any protection for the screen.Huawei Honor 9i is powered by Huawei made Kirin 659 chip clocked at 2.36 GHz coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB.
The main highlight of Huawei Honor 9i is the four cameras two selfie cameras and other two rear cameras.It is the touted as Worlds first smartphone to come with four cameras.It is having a 13MP main camera & 2MP for better depth of view dual cameras with Selfie Toning LED Flash at the front and 16MP main camera & 2MP dual cameras at the rear of the device with LED flash.Both the front and rear cameras can record video up to 1080p.Both the front and rear cameras have single LED flash.
Connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Bluetooth 4.2, Wifi, A-GPS, FM Radio, 3.5 mm audio port and micro USB port for charging.The device is fueled with 3340 mAh battery and no mention of Quick charging support.The device runs on Android 7.0 with EMUI 5.1 on top.
