OPPO has finally launched the last year’s smartwatch Oppo Watch Free in India. The OPPO Watch Free has all the functions expected of a health tracker plus a few more.
There’s a 1.64-inch AMOLED screen with 280 x 456 resolution, DCI-P3 color gamut, and 326 PPI. The rectangular display is contained in a polycarbonate and fiber frame, with a nylon plastic (PA) and fiber bottom. OPPO says the silicone straps are breathable and pleasant to wear while sleeping.
There are over 100 sports modes that the fitness tracker can monitor, including cricket and badminton. However, only running, walking, rowing (machine), and ellipticals can be monitored automatically. There is even a built-in runner.
The OPPO Watch Free has a heart rate monitor and displays the five heart rate zones in real-time. Notify the user when their heart rate is too high or low. WeChat and Alipay contactless payments are supported, as are sleep monitoring and snoring detection. The NFC version stores bus cards and bank cards for contactless payments. The OPPO Watch Free also has OPPO’s Breeno voice assistant, which works offline.
The OPPO Watch Free includes an eSports mode. When enabled, all notifications and alerts are delivered to the watch instead of the phone. eSports mode only works with OPPO Find X3 and Reno6 series. OPPO claims additional phones will be supported eventually. The watch also has a sleep mode that activates Do Not Disturb on your phone. It also features an optical heart rate sensor & an Optical blood oxygen sensor.
The fitness tracker’s 230mAh battery lasts up to 14 days. It also enables rapid charging, with OPPO claiming a 5-minute charge will last a day. It connects through Bluetooth 5.0 and is compatible with Android 6.0 and iOS 10.0 devices.
The OPPO Watch Free comes in two colors: gold and black. The Oppo Watch Free cost Rs.5999/- in India.
