After the success of the flip foldable phone lineup aka Galaxy Z Flip series from Samsung. We saw Motorola too launching its Razr series & now we have another interesting competitor with Huawei P50 Pocket. Yes, Huawei finally introduces its first flip foldable phone with Huawei P50 Pocket. It comes in three colors with white and black colors as well as a special premium edition gold trim.
The new carries the same design as the Huawei P50 series & comes with a custom 3D structured glass back. The device measures 7.2mm thick when unfolded & weighs around 190g. The Huawei P50 Pocket sports a 6.9 inches larger punch-hole OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is of 21:9 aspect ratio and 2790 x 1188 px resolution.
There is a smaller 1.0-inch secondary display placed below the camera module. This small screen goes ahead as it’s not restricted to only notifications but can do a lot more. Maps, music players, and QR codes are just a few of the widgets that the company makes for its own apps and third-party ones alike. Navigation can be started on the big screen, you can close the phone, and keep seeing directions on the cover screen.
On the back, the Huawei P50 Pocket features a triple camera setup carrying a 40MP main f/1.8 aperture & a 26mm equivalent lens. It is a 32MP with an f/1.8 aperture spectrum camera that helps to boost the colors. Lastly, there is a 13MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor. There is a selfie shooter on the front.
The Huawei P50 Pocket is powered by SD888 4G SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage space. It packs a 4000 mAh battery with 40W fast wired charging support. The device runs on HarmonyOS out of the box.
