The Taiwanese PC maker Acer is entering the Indian air purifier market. The Acerpure Cool C2 and Acerpure Pro P2 air purifiers were announced today by the company. Devices with these specs will be priced in the mid-range segment. Companies such as Xiaomi, Philips, Honeywell, Dyson, and others will be competing against them. It is true that Dyson and Honeywell’s devices cost more than these devices. Unlike previous launches in the country, this is likely Acer’s first air purifier. Acer is known for making affordable laptops.
Like many similar devices in the country, the Acerpure Cool C2 and Acerpure Pro 2 have four-in-one HEPA filters. According to the company, they will eliminate 99% of airborne bacteria, 99.7% of ultrafine dust, PM 1.0, and allergies. According to Acer, the devices can prevent 99% of infections by Coronavirus and influenza viruses. A third-party research center certified the same, although the company declined to specify which one.
Moreover, the air purifiers feature smart sensors and LCD displays, which will show air quality in real-time as well as other information about them. DC motors are used, so they will be energy-efficient and won’t cost much to run. Additionally, there is a quiet mode and a safety lock to prevent children from tampering with the settings.
The Acerpure Cool C2 and Acerpure Pro P2 are available for Rs. 16,999 and Rs. 21,999, respectively, and will be sold on the company’s website as well as Amazon. The devices will also be available exclusively at Acer stores.
