Motorola is planning to introduce two flagships next month, one powered by the Snapdragon 888+ SoC and the other by the next-generation Snapdragon 8-series CPU, speculated to be called the Snapdragon 898 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. While Motorola hasn’t revealed much about either of these flagships, its Serbian office teased a Snapdragon 888 Plus-powered smartphone in a brief video.
Apart from showing off the smartphone’s rear cameras and side frame, the video doesn’t reveal much about it. The caption, however, is machine translated from Bosnian and reads, “The quickest performance and unbelievable speeds are coming soon!” This implies that the Snapdragon 888+ chip on the smartphone could be paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, which isn’t surprising given that we’re talking about a flagship.
While we wait for more information from Motorola about this Snapdragon 888 Plus-powered smartphone, previous rumors claim the other Motorola smartphone, which will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1/898 SoC, will be known as the Motorola Moto Edge X in China and the Edge 30 Ultra in the rest of the world.

It has up to 12GB DDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, Android 12. The device sports a 6.67″ FullHD+ 144Hz OLED screen, an IP52 rating. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 68W charging.
The Motorola Edge X/Edge 30 Ultra will include four cameras: a 60MP unit on the front. A triple camera system on the back with a 50MP primary (with OIS), a 50MP ultrawide. Lastly a 2MP depth sensor.
The smartphone will also have a dedicated Google Assistant and will support 5G networks. However, it will lack a 3.5mm headphone jack.
