The Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 series are set to arrive on sale in just a few months, and as is customary, Samsung is kicking off the end of the year with some specs leaks for the 2018 flagship tablets.
A Geekbench listing, which reveals the model number and CPU of the next Galaxy Tab S8 but has not been formally released, has been made available to the public. All three Galaxy Tab S8 models, the basic model, the Plus model, and the Ultra model, should be covered by these specifications.
According to the tech blog WCFTech, the gadget has the model number SM-X808U in the Geekbench database and is fresh new from Samsung.
With a single-core clocked at 3GHz, three cores operating at 2.5GHz, and four additional cores clocking at 1.98 GHz, the three tablets look to be powered by the Snapdragon 898. During the single-core test, the processor got 1,211 points on Geekbench, while the multi-core testing yielded a respectable 3,193 points.
It’s also possible that the Snapdragon 898 and the Exynos 2200 will coexist in the Galaxy Tab family, just as we expect Samsung’s own fresh new processor to appear in the Galaxy S22 series (sometime in November). However, Geekbench didn’t mention anything at all.
For instance, the Galaxy Tab S8+ appears to have 8GB of RAM and will run Android 12 as its operating system. The Tab S8+ will be available in the United States solely in a 5G version as well.
On February 8th, 2022, the Galaxy S22 family could be revealed alongside the Galaxy Tab S8 series, if all goes according to plan. However, the release date for the tablets has not yet been announced, so we are unsure if we will have to wait longer (or shorter) than another two months.
