The Moto Edge X, Motorola’s next flagship, will be announced at some point in the near future, but a fresh source suggests the phone will be released globally in January as the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra.
This information comes from TechnikNews, which also released the full specs of the Edge 30 Ultra, which has been codenamed “Rogue” internally (external codename is “HiPhi”).

An OLED punch-hole display with a FullHD+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ certification will grace the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, according to the outlet. Android 12 will be pre-installed on the phone, and it will receive two OS updates worldwide.
Qualcomm’s SM8450 SoC, which is expected to be the Snapdragon 898, will power the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. You’ll be able to choose between 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. Both are of type UFS 3.1. Despite the lack of a microSD card slot, the gadget will nonetheless be able to store additional data.
There will be four cameras in the photography department: a 60MP selfie camera, a 50MP primary (OV50A) and 50MP ultrawide (Samsung JN1) camera, and a 2MP depth camera (OV02B1B). OIS support is included in the main camera. The selfie camera can shoot 4K videos.
It comes with a massive 5,000mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 68 watts. In less than 15 minutes, the 68W adaptor will bring the cell from 0% to 50% capacity, according to the source. There will be no wireless or reverse charging with Edge 30 Ultra.
Motorola’s Edge 30 Ultra is made of plastic and is water-resistant to a degree of IP52. A dedicated Google Assistant button is available in Europe. But the 3.5mm headphone jack will not be present in any market.
Stereo speakers, WLAN 6, Sub-6 5G, and Bluetooth 5.2 round out the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra’s reported features.
In China, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra will be known as the Moto Edge X. Because Motorola has already teased it. We can expect to hear more about it as we get closer to its reported December debut date.
