It appears that Xiaomi will soon be introducing a new line of high-end smartphones. The Xiaomi 12 series has been making headlines recently. At the same time, the Redmi K50 series is making headlines. Meanwhile, MIUI code contains a reference to an unannounced product from a mysterious business known only as Munch.
According to Xiaomiui, MIUI code has revealed the existence of a new Xiaomi device codenamed Munch. The model number of this phone is L11R.
There will be an FHD+ (2400 x 1080) display with a 120Hz refresh rate on the smartphone in question. A fingerprint sensor on the side is mentioned. As a result, it’s possible that the display will be LCD, despite the fact that current Xiaomi group smartphones have an AMOLED display and a fingerprint sensor on the side.
A Qualcomm SM8250-based chipset is expected to power the phone, which is interesting. According to Xiaomiui, this chip could be a prototype of the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 870+. Snapdragon 870 is, for those who don’t know, an enhanced version of Snapdragon 865+.
Last but not least, the device will be equipped with a triple camera configuration on the back, which includes a wide-angle primary sensor, an ultra-wide sensor, and a macro lens.
In China, the Redmi 50S is expected to be officially launched as the Xiaomi Munch, while the Xiaomi 12T is expected to be officially launched in international countries. We do, however, ask that you proceed with caution when making any conclusions based on this information.
As the launch date approaches, we hope to learn more about the device’s official marketing moniker.
