New AirPods 3 released in India by Apple. The new AirPods look a lot like the AirPods Pro compared to the first-generation device. Apple is also speculated to release the AirPods Pro 2 soon. Apple’s Pro TWS hasn’t been officially announced, but rumors anticipate a Q2 release. Apple is said to be ditching the stem and launching the redesigned AirPods Pro 2 with a more rounded shape. Design leaks suggest otherwise.
Leaked AirPods Pro 2 design:
According to MacRumors, the future AirPods Pro 2 may retain the same design as the current model. The story includes photographs of the earbuds and charging case. The earbuds have the same stem and silicone ear tips. But no optical sensor. Apple may have switched from optical sensors to skin-detect sensors like it did on the AirPods 3.
But the charging case is unique. Speaker holes are positioned on either side of the bottom lightning port. According to the source, iOS 16 will have a “Find My” feature where users can play a sound for the case. The side metal loop is the first on any of the AirPods released so far.
No other source has Apple launching the Pro TWS with a stem. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has already stated that the stem will be removed from the AirPods Pro next year. The Pro model will also gain new motion sensors for fitness functions.
