After the Pixel 6 and 6 Plus were unveiled, Google’s Android 12 operating system was made available to Pixel users. Owners of non-Google phones, on the other hand, will have to wait at least a few months before receiving stable versions of Android 12. Some phone manufacturers, including Vivo, have already declared plans to release Android 12 beta versions to customers.
The X70 Pro+ is the first Vivo device to receive the Android 12 upgrade, which will be available to 31 of the company’s handsets in the S, V, X, and Y series starting next month.
Vivo will offer Android 12 beta for its X60, X60+, X60Pro, X60, and V21 smartphones in December. Although it was launched at the same time as the X70 Pro+. Sadly, the beta build of the device won’t arrive until January 2022. The V21e 5G, V20 2021, V20, Y21, Y51A, and Y31 are all expected to get Android 12 beta in the same month. The whole device and release schedule are shown in the figure below.
A global version of vivo’s own Android skin, Funtouch OS 12, has yet to be referenced in the company’s official communications. Due to the fact that the X70 series is available in international markets with Funtouch OS 12. The Android 12 beta update for the aforementioned smartphones will include Funtouch OS 12.
It’s also important to note that the Android 12 beta distribution strategy released today by vivo is exclusively for India; other countries may see a different schedule.
