The forthcoming flagship SoCs from Qualcomm and MediaTek have been partially leaked thanks to a reliable tipster on Weibo who is also occasionally active on Twitter. Some of the specifications have already been revealed, but the new information adds to the image by providing a more complete picture.

SD898 SoC

The Snapdragon 898 will be manufactured by Samsung utilizing its 4nm manufacturing process. It will include an octa-core CPU with a Cortex-X2-based main core clocked at 3.0 GHz. Lastly, three Cortex-A710-based performance cores clocked at 2.5 GHz, according to reports. It will have Cortex-A510-based cores that are energy-efficient and will be clocked at 1.79GHz. While the Adreno 730 GPU will handle the graphically intensive tasks.

The Dimensity 2000 would have an identical configuration to the Snapdragon 898. With the exception that the cluster of three performance scores would be clocked at 2.85 GHz. That is significantly faster than the Snapdragon 898’s. Speculation is that the graphics card will be a Mali-G710 MC10. Notably, MediaTek’s flagship silicon will be built on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process, which will be used for the first time.
