iQOO released the Z5 last month, and today it released the Z5x. The iQOO Z5x features a 6.58″ FullHD+ 120Hz LCD display with a waterdrop notch for the 8MP selfie camera. A 50MP primary camera is complemented by a 2MP macro unit on the back.
The iQOO Z5x is powered by the Dimensity 900 SoC, which supports up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The smartphone ships with the Android 11-based OriginOS 1.0 operating system and the virtual RAM functionality, which allows you to virtually extend RAM by up to 1.5GB on the 6GB RAM variation and up to 4GB on the 8GB RAM model.
The Z5x features a five-layer liquid cooling system for long-term performance, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and 5G connection. The smartphone also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometric verification and a 5,000 mAh battery that can draw up to 44W of power via a USB-C connector. According to iQOO, the included 44W adaptor can charge the battery from zero to 58 percent in 30 minutes.
The iQOO Z5x is available in three colors and three memory configurations: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB, with prices starting at CNY1,599 ($250/€215), CNY1,699 ($265/€230), and CNY1,899 ($300/€255). It will be available for pre-order later today in China via Vivo’s official website and online shops such as JD.com and Suning.com.
