Microsoft today announced the formal release of Windows 11 in its stable version across the globe. Existing Windows 10 users with eligible PCs may download and install the upgrade for free.
If you want to upgrade to Windows 11, you may do so by waiting for the update to be made available to you via the Windows Update service. If your computer fulfills all of the criteria, you should be able to download and install Windows 11 as an update in the coming weeks.
The second option is to use Microsoft’s Windows 11 Download Assistant, which is available for free. Essentially, it operates in the same way as Microsoft’s Windows 10 security feature did. The program will download and install the update for you, and you may complete the installation procedure at your convenience once it has completed the download.
You may also download a program to generate installation media. That is basically a USB stick that can be used to install a new copy of Windows 11. From the website’s download section. Alternatively, you may download an ISO file and burn it to a DVD. To install the software in an old-fashioned manner, as described above.
Windows 11 introduces a brand new user interface (UI) with an updated taskbar. It also gets a Start menu, Widgets, a new Microsoft Store app with support for Android apps coming in the future. There are also new themes, Snap Layouts, and Groups for multitasking and window management. It also gets DirectStorage, Auto HDR, and many other improvements and enhancements.
