Google just announced the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones, although they have yet to be formally released. Google is said to be launching the Pixel 6-series phones on October 19th but has yet to confirm this.
The tech giant has unveiled the phones but not all information. In the meanwhile, additional information regarding the Pixel 6 and 8 phones as well as the Tensor processor has surfaced online.
The Google Pixel 6 is believed to have a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, while the Pixel 6 Pro is said to have a 6.71-inch QHD+ curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz.
Both smartphones are verified to use Google’s Tensor chipset. Expect two X1 cores at 2.8GHz, two A78 cores at 2.25GHz, and four A55 cores at 1.8GHz. The Mali G78 GPU will handle the graphics. The chipset is a Samsung Exynos 9855 SoC.
In addition to a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN1 main camera, a 12MP Sony IMX386 ultra-wide-angle lens is expected. The Pro model will feature a triple camera system with a 48MP 4x zoom lens. The front camera will be 8MP for selfies and video calls.
Then there’s Wi-Fi 6E, mmWave 5G, and Ultra-wideband (UWB). The phone will feature a 5,000mAh battery and will enable 33W rapid charging. It will come pre-installed with Android 12.
The next phone’s price in Europe was just revealed. A 12GB RAM + 128GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage Pixel 6 Pro will be available for EUR 899 (Rs.78,000/-), EUR 999 (Rs.86,300/-) and 1099 euros (Rs.95,000/-).
According to rumors, the Pixel 6 series will be unveiled on October 19th and be on sale on October 28th. We’ll have to wait a few weeks for Google to confirm this.
