Agarwal revealed the upcoming Redmi development exclusively to MySmartPrice. Both the Redmi 9 Activ and Redmi 9A Sport smartphones will be derivative variants of the company’s existing Redmi 9 and Redmi 9A smartphones, Agarwal claims.
Redmi 9 Activ:
The Redmi 9 Activ is expected to come in a new Metallic Purple color option, in addition to the usual Redmi 9 color options. The smartphone will come in two flavors: 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Because the phone is based on the Redmi 9 Prime, the rest of the phone should have the MediaTek Helio G35 SoC.
It still sports a 6.53-inch HD+ display, 13MP dual rear camera The phone should also have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 5,000mAh battery. It’s unclear if the Redmi 9 Activ’s design will be distinctive enough to earn its Activ moniker.
Redmi 9A Sport:
The Redmi 9A Sport is expected to come in Metallic Blue with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage, and 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. There’s also a 5,000mAh battery, the same display size and resolution as the Redmi 9, and the same MediaTek Helio G25 SoC. With its new color, Xiaomi is likely looking to keep its budget smartphone range refreshed – until the next generation is introduced.
The new Redmi 9 series smartphones should be available in India soon, but no date has been set.
