The rumoured Pixel 6 pair isn’t exactly a secret. Google has previously shown off its next flagship smartphones and is now promoting them with billboards in New York. On display at one Google shop. Now comes the first hands-on footage of the Pixel 6 Pro.
The video was uploaded by M. Brandon Lee, and the phone in the video seems to be a PVT unit. That explains the lack of a Google logo. Yogesh Brar, a leaker, says it is a near-perfect replica.
Hands-on Video:
The footage doesn’t show much other than the body looks shiny. Google says the phone is made of a light polished aluminum frame.
The footage also reveals the phone’s alleged 6.7-inch OLED display, which seems to be curved at the edges and has thin bezels. The front camera is a pinhole cutout with 12MP.
The camera bar now has larger sensors and lenses, according to Google. Pixel 6 Pro is said to include a 50MP primary camera, 12 MP wide-angle, and 48 MP telephoto with 4X zoom. New features are also allegedly in the works.
The phone is also said to have a 5,000mAh battery. It should enable 33W wired and 23W wireless charging. The Pro variant seems to include ultra-wideband (UWB) technology and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Google’s latest phones use a processor called Tensor. The firm hasn’t said much about the chip, although rumours say it’s been developed using Samsung’s 5nm node. The phone will reportedly have 12GB of RAM and come in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options. It will run Android 12 and be maintained for five years.
The Pixel 6 Pro is likely to be expensive. Google expects high sales with the complete unveiling on October 19. The phones seem promising and if the buzz is accurate, they will likely be the year’s top phones. Google may also show out the Pixel Fold with the Pixel 6 series!
