Realme finally announced two new mid-range smartphones in India under the Realme 8 series. The new Realme 8i and the Realme 8s 5G are the new entrants under the Realme 8 series in India. The new Realme 8s 5G will go on sale from Sept 13 whereas the Realme 8i from Sept 14 in India. Both the devices will be exclusive to Flipkart and Realme leading retail outlets across India.
Realme 8i:
The new Realme 8i looks identical to Realme 8 comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner this time. The new Realme 8i will sport 6.6 inches FHD+ 120Hz refresh rates single punch-hole LCD display. It measures 8.5 mm thick & weighs around 194g.
The Realme 8i now comes with the latest MediaTek Helio G96 SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. It also gets a MicroSD card slot for further storage expansion. The Realme 8i features triple-rear cameras with a 50MP Samsung JN1 main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, and dual 2MP macro and depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash.
There is a 16MP Sony IMX471 selfie sensor with an aperture of f/2.0. All this is packed by 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charge support. It runs on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack, FM Radio, and Bluetooth 5.0. The new Realme 8i comes in Space Black and Space Purple colors. The Realme 7i with 4GB+64GB cost Rs.13,999/- and 6GB+128GB at Rs.15,999/- in India.

Realme 8s 5G:
Design:
Realme 8s 5G does feature a polycarbonate back with a matte finish. The Realme 8s 5G measures 8.5 mm thick & weighs around 185g in weight. It comes with an all-new design featuring a huge square-shaped camera setup on the back and a punch-hole display on the front. Realme 8s 5G which too looks identical to the Realme 8 5G with a square-shaped quad-camera setup and LED flash.
Specs:
The Realme 8s 5G will sport 6.5 inches IPS LCD FHD+ display with standard 90Hz refresh rates. It comes with side-mounted fingerprint scanner support. The Realme 8s 5G is powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB storage options. It does feature a dedicated microSD card slot.
Cameras:
The Realme 8s 5G will again come with the 64MP triple-camera setup which we saw in many of the Realme phones in the past. The Realme 8s 5G features a 64MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.7 with EIS, with a 2MP 4cm macro sensor & a 2MP B&W portrait camera with an aperture of f/2.4 with LED flash.
There is a 16MP selfie shooter on Realme 8s 5G. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE, 5G, and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Dual Frequency (L1 + L5) GPS, NavIC, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack with Hi-Res support, FM Radio and Bluetooth 5.0. The Realme 8s 5G comes with a 5000 mAh battery along with 33W Dart fast charging support.
