Ahead of the official launch, we have now spotted the alleged Microsoft Surface Duo 2 passing through Geekbench. In the past, we got enough leaks that revealed the first look at the upcoming foldable aka Microsoft Surface Duo 2.
This year, Microsoft will announce the Microsoft Duo 2. As its successor, it is set to come out in August 2021. The last year’s model came with the older Snapdragon 855 chip when other Android phones had the Snapdragon 865. According to rumours, Surface Duo 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor. MySmartPrice has discovered that the Surface Duo 2 is listed on Geekbench today. According to the listing, it is indeed powered by the SD888.
According to Geekbench’s listing for the Surface Duo 2, it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800, which features four CPU cores running at 1.80GHz, three CPU cores clocked at 2.42GHz, and a prime core at 2.84GHz. As revealed in the source code, Qualcomm’s chip features Adreno 660.
As the specs revealed, the Surface Duo 2 smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 888v SoC. By including the chip, it indicates that it will be 5G-ready.
Additionally, it is listed as having 8GB of RAM and running Android 11. Scores on the single-core and multi-core tests were 1071 and 3166 respectively. A recent report suggested that a better version of Microsoft Launcher would be overlaid on Android OS.
