While Acer laptops are quite popular in the consumer electronics space, it appears the brand is looking to enter a new segment in India. From industry insider Ishan Agarwal, 91mobiles has exclusively learned that the company will launch smart TVs in India next month. Dixon will manufacture the models in the country and they will be available from 32-inch to 70-inch screen sizes. With Acer TVs, you will be able to watch Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube. Using Google Assistant, you can control the TV by voice. Acer’s TVs feature Bluetooth, WiFi, USB, and HDMI connectivity, as well as Micro Dimming and Dolby Audio. There will also be models with frameless designs.
Acer Smart TV HD, FHD & 4K specs:
Smart TVs from Acer will be available in screen sizes of 32-inch, 42-inch, 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 58-inch, and 70-inch. A 32-inch HD Ready model will have 1.5 GB RAM, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a 3000:1 contract ratio. In addition to the standard version, a frameless model will also be available. Acer’s 42-inch FHD Android TV has a pixel resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a refresh rate of 60Hz.
Acer will also release 4K TV models in 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 58-inch, and 70-inch sizes. Acer offers several models featuring 4K Ultra HD Android TV, including the 43-inch Frameless Android TV, the 50-inch Frameless Android TV, the 55-inch Frameless Android TV, and the 58-inch 4K Ultra HD Android TV.
TVs with 4K resolution will have 2GB of RAM, a 3840*2160 pixels resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and 5000:1 contrast ratio. Apparently, some models will feature frameless designs. Currently, there is no information on the price of the upcoming Acer TVs, but we can speculate they will cost between Rs 20,000 and Rs 70,000. We expect them to come with LED panels. Next month, when the TVs launch in the country, we should learn more about other features.
