In the past, we saw Google’s budget Pixel aka Pixel 5a in full glory through series of live images. We even got to know that this time the new Pixel 5a will ship with a larger 4500 mAh battery. Now finally the same source has confirmed the launch and first sale date of the new Pixel 5a.
Sources who revealed the excessively large Pixel 5a battery now allege to have known the real announcement date. All along, pegged at August 17 for the big announcement, confirming earlier speculations of an August 26 release date. Given that the Pixel 4a was also released in August last year, both scenarios seem quite possible.
There’s a good chance it will happen as soon as tomorrow, so check back often to find out all there is to know about the man rumoured to be America’s new budget king. In terms of photographic ability, only a few competitors in its category will be able to match it at its anticipated $450 Pixel 5a price point and bigger battery capacity.
Due to the lack of a big launch ceremony and the low specifications of the Pixel 5a, Google may choose to simply issue a press release shortly before lunch tomorrow, instead of an official announcement. Don’t forget to keep an eye out.
