Recently Google announced the key specs along with the first look at the new Google Pixel 6 & Pixel 6 Pro. We also got to know that Google is moving with a custom chipset this time with Google Tensor SoC. Sadly, Google didn’t reveal much about the new Google Tensor chip. But we got a new report that reveals some of the details of the Google Tensor SoC.
As per the new reports, the new Google Tensor SoC will be made by Samsung using theĀ 5nm process similar to SD888 SoC. “Tensor builds off of our 2 decades of computing experience and it’s our biggest innovation in Pixel to date,” Google CEO Sundar Pichai tweeted.
Google didn’t reveal the details about whose manufacturing the chips for them but the report confirmed it’s none other than Samsung. So the new Google Tensor SoC will be using the same 5nm process which is already found on SD888 SoC.
The report also adds that the new processor comes with improved power efficiency and performance. Further, the new Google Tensor SoC was in development for almost four long years and is finally debuting with Google Pixel 6 series this year.
