Motorola is back with its premium lineup aka the Edge series which was launched in 2019. Now the company is planning to launch the successor with the new Motorola Edge 20 series. In the past, we already got the first look along with key specs of the new Motorola Edge 20 & Motorola Edge 20 Pro. Now Motorola has finally confirmed the launch date for the new Motorola Edge 20 series.
As per the post on Weibo, the Motorola Edge 20 series will mark its global debut with China. Yes, the new Motorola Edge 20 series is scheduled to launch on Aug 5 in China. The teaser doesn’t mention the name of the device that is launching in China on Aug 5 but we expect it could be the Motorola Edge 20 series.
Further, we also spotted the alleged Motorola Edge 20 on Geekbench. As per the listing, the Motorola Edge 20 is listed as XT2143-1 which is running on Android 11 OS out of the box. It is now powered by the latest SD778G SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and is likely to feature 128GB internal storage. Apart from this nothing much about the Motorola Edge 20 is revealed.

Lastly, we also spotted the alleged Motorola Edge 20 Pro on NTBC listing as XT-2153-1 which has now been certified in Thailand. So we could expect the new Motorola Edge 20 & Motorola Edge 20 Pro will surely gonna land later next week in China. We also spotted the alleged Motorola Edge 20 Pro on Geekbench now.
As per the listing, the Motorola Edge 20 Pro is listed as XT-2153-1 which is running on Android 11 OS. The Motorola Edge 20 Pro will again be powered by SD870 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and might ship with 128GB storage.
Further, the popular tipster has finally revealed the official renders of the new Motorola Edge 20 Pro. From the leaked image, we can see the new Motorola Edge 20 Pro looks similar to previously launched Moto G60 but with slight change in design.
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro will feature punch-hole display on the front with slimmer bezels. On the back, the device features 108MP triple rear cameras with one telephoto lens, Ultra-wide sensor and main sensor with LED flash and laser AF. The Power button, along with volume rockers are on the right and USB Port along with speaker mesh on the bottom. The Motorola Edge 20 Pro will come with premium metal and glass clad design.
