After the success of the top-end flagship Redmi K30 Ultra last year, the company is now planning for a successor. In the past, we got some of the specs of the alleged Redmi K40 Ultra which will be launching soon in China. Now the same source has revealed all the features of the new Redmi K40 Ultra.
As per the source, the Redmi K40 Ultra was initially spotted in the month of April which was tipped to arrive with MediaTek latest processor. It was also tipped to ship with a 64MP main sensor with either quad or triple rear cameras and a 120 Hz 20:9 AMOLED display. Now the latest update reveals that there will be two different variants of Redmi K40 Ultra with K11T and K11R.
Further, the source expects that Redmi K40 Ultra has almost four different codenames depending upon regions like China, India and Global. The codenames are Agate, Agategl, Agatein and Amber. The Redmi K40 Ultra with model K11T will feature a 108MP main sensor and is exclusive to China and India. The other model with K11R comes with a 64MP camera is for the Global markets.
The report also states that the codename Amber is the same as Agate. So the source expects the codename, Amber stands for Yellow colour which represents POCO. We can expect the Redmi K40 Ultra gets rebranded as POCO F3 Pro for Global markets. Lastly, both the model K11T and K11R are been licensed last month.

Further, the source also spotted the alleged Redmi K40 Ultra live images online. As per the source, one of the officials was spotted using the alleged Redmi K40 Ultra on the subway in China. From the leaked images, the Redmi K40 Ultra reminds us of the recently launched Redmi K40 series. Yes, it comes with a similar design with a centre punch-hole display and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Lastly, another tipster has also confirmed some more details about the Redmi K40 Ultra. According to the source, the Redmi K40 Ultra will pack a huge 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charge support.
The new Mi Code also revealed the camera details of the K11T and K11R models. The report reveals that K11T model will ship with Samsung HM2 08MP sensor whereas the K11R with 64MP Omnivision OV64B40 sensor. There is an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide sensor along with telemacro sensor with LED flash.
Lastly, the source expects the Redmi K40 Ultra to launch in late August for China and will be expanded to other regions later.
