After the launch of the super-popular Redmi K40 series in China which made its way to India as the Mi 11X series. Now the brand is looking to launch the ultra-premium flagship from Redmi aka successor to Redmi K30 Ultra. Yes, Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi is all set to launch the new Redmi K40 Ultra next in China.
As per the leak, the new flagship from Redmi might turn out to be the new Redmi K40 Ultra. As per the source, the alleged Redmi K40 Ultra will indeed sport the same 120Hz refresh rate FHD+ display from Mi 11X series. It will be powered by the unannounced MediaTek MT689X SoC which will be built on a 6nm process. It comes with architecture similar to Exynos 1080 SoC.
The new Redmi K40 Ultra will still feature the 64MP main sensor on the back. It will pack a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charge support. The Redmi K40 Ultra will run on Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 on top. Sadly no word about the remaining specs nor the launch timeline at the moment. More details will be out in the coming weeks.
