Looks like after Samsung we now have OnePlus clearly revealing their new software update terms for its older and new devices. As we all know that Samsung has promised four long years of Security updates for all its smartphones along with three major Android updates.
Now OnePlus has a similar announcement for its flagship and mid-range smartphones launched in the past. As per the official post, OnePlus will provide three major Android updates along with four long years of security patches to all its flagships right from the OnePlus 8 series.
Yes, the flagship lineup starting from the OnePlus 8 with the T and R series will get three major updates now. The company confirmed that older models launched before OnePlus 8 will receive only two major Android updates & 3 years of Security patches.
OnePlus Nord series including the OnePlus Nord CE 5G to receive 2 major Android updates. It will also get three years of security patches. Lastly, the Nord N-series will get just one major Android update along with 3 years of Security updates.
Seems like a pretty good deal for the end-users to know such info about their smartphone which other brands hide.
