Looks like we finally have some good news for those planning to upgrade directly to the Galaxy S22 series next year. In the past, we got enough leaks confirming that the deice will be powered by Samsung and AMD partnered Exynos 2100 SoC. Now we got a new detailed report that reveals some of the specs of the new Galaxy S22 series.
As per the source, the new Galaxy S22 series will include three new models with Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ & Galaxy S22 Ultra. Previously we saw Galaxy S21 & Galaxy S21+ came with the same sensors found on the Galaxy S20 series. Now the source confirmed that the cameras will finally get a major upgrade on the upcoming Galaxy S22 & Galaxy S22+.
As Galaxy S20/S21 arrived with a 12MP main sensor and 64MP telephoto lens which allowed to capture high-resolution shots in low-light condition. These things gonna change with the new Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+. According to the source, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ will feature a 50MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide & 12MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom.
Even after downgrading to 50MP, the sensor comes with a huge 1/1.2 inches sensor size with 1.4 µm native pixels. Not just that it can also capture images up to 100MP & shoot 8K videos. The new Galaxy S22 series will include the third-gen of Samsung ISOCELL GN sensor.
Lastly, the source also revealed the codename for the Galaxy S22 series which is named Rainbow. Further, the source mentions that Galaxy S22 is codenamed as Rainbow R, The Galaxy S22+ with Rainbow G & Galaxy S22 Ultra with Rainbow B.
